This is the Triton 3 1/4 hp router with its own built-in lifting mechanism. Purchased in June 2010 it had one of the last of the plastic worm gears for the micro-adjusting system. Once HTC purchased Triton, replacing the plastic worm gears was one of the first things the new owners did in improving these routers. Below, you can see just how much beefier the newer metal worm gear is, especially when viewed side-by-side. This has made all the difference in the lift performance that had taken a hit as the plastic worm began stripping/slipping.
